Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Ace & Usa

July 25th, 2014 by Laura

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Wednesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Usa 2014-7-24 3Meet Ace and Usa!

It’s kitten season and the Shelter has a number of kittens available for adoption, like Ace and Usa. These two are looking for a home together – because the only thing better than one new kitten is TWO new kittens (and they make great companions and playmates for each other)!

Usa 2014-7-24 1Usa is an outgoing and affectionate girl who purrs as soon as you pick her up. She’s playful and fun with her toys, and loves chasing a feather on a string. She’s got the most adorable little short, kinked tail. With her spotted coat and short tail, we’ve been calling her Usa (Japanese for bunny) and she’s just as fast as one!

Ace 2014-7-24 1Ace is a little smaller than his sister, and the shyer of the two, but he loves to play and be petted. He’s most confident when he has his sister around, so that’s another reason they’re looking for a home together. Both are healthy, faithfully use the litter box, and aren’t in the least bit picky about their food.

Ace and Usa (SAS ID #14-018596-3 & 4) are playing hide and seek in a foster home, they are not at the Shelter. If you would to meet them, please call the Foster Care Hotline at (206) 684-0685 to arrange a meeting. Thank you!
