Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Bella
Posted on July 6th, 2014 by Editor
On Fridays (yes, today is Sunday – the 4th of July threw us off schedule) we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Wednesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.
Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.
Updates on previous pets:
Maple – (shepherd/husky mix) available for adoption
Bunnies – Xanadu adopted! Bella, Luna & Roscoe available for adoption
Mama (lap cat) – available for adoption
Chinchillas – available for adoption
Angie & Ninja (pair of senior dogs) – available for adoption
Cosmo (yellow lab mix) – available for adoption
Pounce (silky grey cat) – available for adoption
Elsa (white kitty) – available for adoption
Bella is a happy, outgoing, goofball, who expresses herself with thunderous purrs and a comic “snorting” – rather like a piglet. A very sociable girl, she is friendly and perpetually good-natured. She enjoys being the center of attention, and follows her foster mom around, giving head-butts, foot-rubs and belly-exposing flops.
Bella plays hard and is fast on her feet, exhibiting incredible stamina in pursuit of “da bird” and other flying toys, and she loves to swan around the house proudly carrying a captured catnip mouse in her mouth to show off. For relaxation, she likes to snuggle on the sofa with her head in her foster mom’s lap.
Bella is a faithful user of her scratching post, and has impeccable litter box habits. She’s almost perfect… all she lacks is that special person or family who will take her home and love her forever. Other cats don’t ruffle her fur, and she is gentle with cat-savvy kids.
Call the Foster Care Hotline and make an appointment to meet the lovely Bella today!
Bella (SAS ID #14-15176-8) is being lavished with attention in a foster home, she is not at the Shelter. If you would like to meet her, please call the Foster Care Hotline at (206) 684-0685 to arrange a meeting. Thank you!
