Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Thea

Pet of the Week

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Tuesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Panda & Riley (mother and son Shih Tzus) – now in foster care; available for adoption
Taco (young Chi/Basenji mix looking for an experienced home) – available for adoption

Thea 2015-02-05 3Meet Thea!

Thea’s a gentle, friendly young girl who’d like to be your only pet. Calm and affectionate, Thea loves head and chin rubs.

At times, she’ll climb straight into your arms and purr madly in your ear; at others, she might hang back a little and let you bring the love to her.

Thea 2015-02-05 2Either way, Thea is very much a people’s cat and a fan of human attention! And she’s quite the ferocious little hunter – just watch her eyes light up and her rump start to wiggle when a string toy crosses her path!!

If you’ve never had a cat before, easygoing Thea would be a great match for you; she’s sweet and even quite cooperative about being brushed.

Thea 2015-02-05 1Did we mention that she’s gorgeous, too? Modest Thea would never call attention to it herself, but she is one fine-looking little girl, with her pink nose and classic black and white markings.

You won’t find Thea (SAS ID #14-19981) at the shelter; she’s being adored in a foster home.

Please contact the Foster Care Hotline at (206) 684-0685 to arrange a meeting. She’s waiting for you!
