Grub opens on the Hill, Apollo Spa replacing Enzo/Sorrentino/Polpetta

Queen Anne’s newest restaurant, Grub, is now open for business. We profiled the establishment last month — owned by Queen Anne’s own Sharon Fillingim, who’s best known for opening Le Rêve Bakery in the neighborhood.

In the same complex at the corner of Boston and Queen Anne Ave., another new tenant is moving in. If you were hoping for another restaurant in the old Enzo/Sorrentino/Polpetta storefront, you’ll likely be disappointed. If you’re looking for a new spa with 14 chairs, you’ll be in luck.

Plumbing work was underway last weekend, and the posted permit gave some inkling as to what to expect in the old Italian restaurant space (run by the same family, but under multiple names before it closed last December).

Earlier this week, signs for Apollo Nail and Spa were installed – Apollo Nail and Spa is a Silverdale-based business that won the “Best of Western Washington” for Manicures & Pedicures in both 2010 and 2011.

A total of 3 tenants moved out of the building in December 2011, and while all three spaces have been rented, to date, only Grub has opened its doors. The old Teacup location is still sporting opaque windows and not much action construction-wise.
