We in Queen Anne are getting some spoiled taste buds! First Mobile Chowdown makes a comeback in QA over the weekend, and now one of the city’s most popular street food vendors, Marination Mobile, is making a neighborhood visit!

The Hawaiian/Korean-inspired street eat truck will be in Lower Queen Anne from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 13, just off 1st Ave N near Republican Street (where the old QFC was, right by the KeyArena and Seattle Center entrance). Happy lunching!

New “seasonally inspired, locally derived” restaurant emmer&rye opened up at the top of the hill back in Jaunary, adding breakfast service to the menu in February and now lunch, which as of today is “officially open.”

They haven’t put the lunch menu up on their website yet, but according to the emmer&rye Twitter account, items will include soups, salads, sandwiches and fresh king salmon.

Also new to emmer&rye: you can now make dinner reservations online through their website, which displays times that still have tables available and walks you through the reservation process.

Pesos’s next-door sibling, Toulouse Petit, opened last month with French Quarter/New Orleans-inspired dinners and a full bar menu. Last week they opened for breakfast and lunch as well.

The menu has Banana Fosters Pancakes (above) on it and seven different kings of eggs Benedict. And as of today, Monday, December 14, through the end of January their breakfasts are only $5 each, 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, no matter what you order.

“At $5 we’re just breaking even,” owner Brian Hutmacher said. “That’s really for the local community.”

Breakfast and lunch are served from the time the restaurant opens at 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.
