Seattle favorite Windy City Pie is making a move this weekend from SODO to Interbay, bringing Chicago style pizza to our neck of the woods. Windy City Pie is busy this weekend setting up a new kitchen inside the Batch 206 Distillery at 1417 Elliott Ave W and already taking orders for pickup.

While Windy City Pie won’t be making deliveries this weekend, production at the new Interbay location starts today, October 1st, with normal business hours. Plus, it will have an oven that is 12 times larger than the SODO one, and there’s parking at Batch 206 to make pickups more convenient.

Per their Facebook page (where you can find more photos of their pies, like the one above):

“We anticipate our new equipment will result in a superior product and a massively increased capacity. As we adapt to that increased capacity and production workflow, we’ll be able to streamline ordering in ways we simply could not do in our SoDo location due to our small oven.”

Windy City Pie also promises a future collaboration with Batch 206 Distillery, so it’s here to stay, which is very good news for Queen Anne, Interbay, and Magnolia residents alike. How do you order your pie? Go here.

And, if you’re not familiar with Windy City Pie, last month it claimed the title of “favorite pizza” out of 32 Seattle pizzerias in a Seattle Times reader poll.

Chalk this move up to a win for the neighborhood!
