Back in August, we put out the call for men’s clothing for the Queen Anne Helpline’s clothing bank. The Helpline was in desperate need for men’s clothing and the response was fantastic (thanks, readers!).

The Helpline needs food to stock its emergency food shelves and take-home food bags for neighbors in need. The Helpline keeps these shelves stocked with non-perishable food items, so items that are shelf-stable are ideal.

Specifically, they need: peanut butter, crackers (packaged in sleeves, like Ritz or Saltines), individual serving juice and milk boxes, canned vegetables (corn, green beans, etc.), pasta sauce, granola bars, and fruit /applesauce cups. Any other non-perishable foods are welcome as well. Help fill the near-empty shelves!

Donations can be dropped off at the Queen Anne Helpline office at 311 W McGraw St between the hours of 9am and 4pm Monday through Friday. However, please call 206.282.1540 first to make sure a Helpline staff member or volunteer is available to accept your donations.
