Bulls 2016The flyers have hit the streets once again! The bulls are coming! Helping celebrate the fiestas of San Fermin in Pamplona along with general good fun and imbibing of spirits, the 7th Annual Queen Anne Running of the Bulls on Saturday, July 9th.

The run starts at the Paragon around 1pm, but that’s a rough guideline, as the race kicks off when everyone is ready. Runners gather at the Paragon prior, then race to Kerry Park with shopping cart bulls in tow.

This year, the run coincides with Queen Anne Days. Early birds can run the Crown of Queen Anne Fun Run in the morning, hit the carnival at the Queen Anne Community center, grab some fuel, and run again, with the bulls this time, at 1pm. Or, late risers can get up, brunch, and run for their lives!

Bulls Dress Code 2016Note the dress code for the foot race – white shirts and pants, a red scarf, and fast shoes. A rolled up newspaper to swat at the charging bulls isn’t a bad idea either.

The start line is at the Paragon (2125 Queen Anne Ave N), with the bar/restaurant open for lunch and drinks to fuel up the runners. When the bulls are unleashed, the runners will charge down Queen Anne Ave N, making their way to the finish line at Kerry Park.

It’s free and anyone can join in – or just watch from the safety of the sidewalks.
