Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Biscuit

Pet of the Week

Biscuit 1Biscuit is all that a pretty calico cat should be – regal, affectionate, occasionally playful, and unapologetically sassy.

She takes charge as soon as she walks in the door and presides over her realm with supreme confidence. When she wants attention she will mew and tap you with her paws, with the expectation that you will scratch her ruff or submit to her settling companionably on your lap or chest. An appropriate response on your part will be rewarded with high volume purring.

Biscuit is a sun-loving girl who enjoys napping contentedly on a windowsill or anywhere a sun puddle can be found. Engaging in silly play is somewhat beneath her dignity, but she does harbor a fetish for springy rubber bands.

Biscuit 2As an independent kitty, she would be best suited for a calm household with mature guardians who already have some cat experience.

She has always lived indoors, is a pro with her litter box, and would prefer to be your only pet. If loving yet spicy Biscuit (SAS ID#30603526) sounds like the perfect addition to your family, why not call the foster care hotline at (206) 684-0685 and ask to speak with her personal assistant?

Biscuit 3Biscuit, who is approximately 10 years old, qualifies for the Shelter’s senior citizen/disabled discount program. Persons with a ‘Gold Card for Healthy Aging,’ or a ‘FLASH’ card, issued by the City of Seattle, may adopt an adult cat (at least six years old) at a special price: there will be no fee for the adoption itself, and the licensing fee will be half-price!
