The lights are already lit along Queen Anne Ave N, Thanksgiving is next week, and the Queen Anne Helpline Christmas tree lot opens next Saturday, November 28th, all signs of the upcoming holiday season on Queen Anne.

Towne sign and puppyThis year, thanks to the Queen Anne Chamber and our local merchants, we’ll have a new holiday tradition on top of Queen Anne – a tree lighting. On Saturday, November 28th, a large tree will make its way from the Queen Anne Helpline Christmas Tree Lot to the plaza at The Towne outside Trader Joe’s.

Then, on Friday, December 4th, the tree will light up after a countdown. The lighting event runs from 6pm to 8pm, with a countdown to the lighting at 6:30pm. It’ll kick off the annual Holiday Magic event along Queen Anne Ave N, and it’s a free family-friendly event.

At the tree lighting, you can warm up with hot drinks from Storyville, enjoy tasty cookies from Aegis Living, and enjoy holiday music.

The new holiday tradition is sure to be a welcome one, making Queen Anne even more festive. Thanks to the Queen Anne Community Council, Queen Anne Apartment Collection, The Holiday Lighting Pros, and Joe Geivett of Emerald Bay Equity for making it happen.

Mark your calendars for the tree lighting event on Friday, December 4th and get ready to celebrate Holiday Magic on Queen Anne!
