Every year we have milestones on Queen Anne that seem timed with the seasons… late Spring finishes up with the annual Bigelow Block Sale and the new Queen Anne Art Walk, Fall means Halloween on Queen Anne Ave, and Winter brings Holiday Magic to our business district.

Now, Summer quickly approaches and that means Queen Anne Days! The free two-day event is chock-full of events and activities for adults and families alike. Mark your calendars for July 11th and 12th, and get ready to celebrate Summer on Queen Anne!

The weekend kicks off with a shot as the racers take off at the annual Queen Anne Helpline Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, July 11th. Registration is open now and all proceeds benefit the Queen Anne Helpline and its programs for neighbors in need.

Next up on Saturday late morning/afternoon is Summerfest, a new adult-focused featuring a wine and beer garden (courtesy of Baer Winery, Mac & Jack’s and Cider 6), Art Walks, live music, and the Marqueen Garage car show.

Also new this year is the Queen Anne History Treasure Hunt. The contest is an interactive, phone-based game created by the Queen Anne Historical Society, Geocaching.com and the Queen Anne Neighborhood Alliance. It’s sure to be a great way to explore the history of Queen Anne. Participants will need a free Geocaching.com account to play.

Familyfest on Sunday is all about the kids, and it’s going to be bigger than ever with more bouncy houses, some of the best kid bands in Seattle, and kid-oriented fun & games.

Meanwhile, Queen Anne merchants will host their annual Sidewalk Sale on both Saturday and Sunday.
