Heads up if you have plans that include navigating around the Seattle Center tomorrow – the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is scheduled to start and finish at the Seattle Center. 8,500 people are expected to participate in the race, not including spectators. Both traffic and parking will experience impacts.

The 5K Walk/Run begins at the Seattle Center then heads downtown and back. The race starts at 8am near Mercer and 3rd Ave N, then progresses east on Mercer before hanging a right and heading downtown.

Street closures will run from 6am to roughly 10am – there will be rolling openings beginning at 9am, but since the race ends at Seattle Center at 10am, expect Lower Queen Anne streets to stay closed until after the race end.
