Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Tripp

Pet of the Week

On Fridays [this week it’s Saturday] we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Tuesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Branson & Tyke (adorable Chihuahua mix pair) – adoption pending
Mama (dedicated lap cat) – available for adoption – new photos on Petfinder
Thea (black and white kitty) – available for adoption
Abby & Phinn (lovey dovey pair of doves) – available for adoption
Iggy Azalea (snuggly iguana) – available for adoption
Walter & Jesse (friendly pair of rats) – available for adoption
Pilot (lionhead rabbit) – available for adoption

Meet Tripp!

Although his pictures make him look rather large, Tripp is actually a young, small male cat (neutered, of course). Tripp is a shy and gentle soul, but he is working on mastering his snuggle skills and once he feels safe he is a very enthusiastic cuddler.

He can always be found relaxing in his “cabana,” which means he is always available for petting time! And, once the petting starts, Tripp can be coaxed out of his bed and will purr, head butt, ear nibble and generally show his affection. He has even begun to display his kitteny side, chasing fingers and playing with a feather – he is exceedingly gentle even when playing and never bites or scratches. Tripp is looking for a calm and patient home where he can gain confidence and really get to show off why we’ve dubbed him “Lovebug.”

You won’t find Tripp (SAS ID #15-2615) at the shelter; he is waiting patiently in foster care for your call. Please contact the Foster Care Hotline at (206) 684-0685 to arrange a meeting. Thank you!
