We gave the heads up back in May about the 22nd Annual Bigelow Block Sale, and it’s now just days away.
The block sale extravaganza is held on the first Saturday in June every year, rain or shine. And, if you haven’t looked at the forecast… it’s going to be sunny and warm! Summery, in fact, with a high in the mid-80s… too warm for some of us, so plan ahead to shop early if you’re heat-sensitive like me.
The Bigelow Block Sale is not just limited to Bigelow Ave N – it spans cross streets all along the east side of Queen Anne Boulevard as well. This year, almost 50 homes have registered to participate to date, and late arrivals and same-day registrations are possible as well.
Plan on strolling the tree-lined Boulevard this Saturday, hunt for bargains, meet neigbhors, and enjoy the sunny day. Then, in the late afternoon and early evening, head over to the businesses on W McGraw and Crockett streets for the 1st Annual Queen Anne Art Walk.
Ditch the traffic woes that plague Seattle every weekend and stick around the neighborhood – plenty of events to make it worth your while!
