uptownThe Uptown Alliance has put out the rallying cry to help document art in Uptown. As part of its effort to have Uptown considered a Cultural Arts District, the organization is documenting art and creative endeavors in Uptown. This inventory of creative work is part of the application process to be named a Cultural Arts District.

What does the Uptown Alliance need? Organizations and businesses in Uptown that support the arts need to help document their efforts. If you represent an organization or business, or know someone who does, check out the survey information below:

The Uptown Alliance is working with the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture and other Uptown organizations (Seattle Opera, Teatro Zinzanni, SIFF, KEXP and others) to complete an inventory of all of the creative work going on in the Uptown neighborhood as part of applying for a Cultural Arts District designation for our neighborhood.

We need your help!  Are you affiliated with an organization that supports arts and culture in Uptown?  Do you know someone who is?  Fill out the Cultural Space Inventory form about your organization and submit it by Wednesday, April 15th.

More details on Uptown’s application and information on Cultural Arts Districts will be provided at a June 25th commuity meeting. In the meantime, take the survey and help the Uptown Alliance with its inventory of art!
