Safeway Shred EventIt’s tax season and as digital as things are, paperwork still exists – and you may have discovered some files, folders, or boxes full of paperwork that you no longer need, but have to shred for security’s sake.

Well, if you have more paper than you care to shred at home or don’t have a shredder, a free and secure shredding event is worth noting.

Elliott Bay Civic Foundation is sponsoring a shredding event for personal documents this Saturday, April 4th. Seadrunar Recycling is providing the service and is shredding the documents on site, so it’s safe and secure for all those past tax-season papers you need to purge.

The Upper Queen Anne Safeway is hosting the event in its 2100 Queen Anne Ave N parking lot, from 11am to 2pm.

Elliott Bay Civic Foundation is offering the free service to help the environment. Donations are welcome, and any proceeds will fund events that in the past have included a Christmas gifting program for children of low(no) income families, a recovery program, and dictionaries for third graders.

Happy tax season.
