Buttercup 2Meet Buttercup!

I’m Buttercup, and as you can see I’m awfully cute! I’m not afraid to admit it, because my foster parents tell me all the time just how cute I am. They also say that I’m very smart and adventurous.

I don’t like being picked up, but I absolutely love to be petted! I will show my appreciation for your pets in kind, by grooming your hand. Another one of my many good qualities is that I am very good at using my litter box.

I’m looking for a forever home where I’ll get lots of love and attention (on my own terms of course). I’d love a home where I’d have a large enclosure to run around, play in, and explore.

Buttercup 3More About House Rabbits: House rabbits need a large, rabbit-proofed **indoor** area of your home to live in, with covered areas to hide and relax in. Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion, and need daily interaction with their human friends. Rabbits should be fed high-quality hay pellets, unlimited hay, and fresh leafy greens. (Leaf lettuce, carrot tops, parsley, cilantro, and pesticide-free dandelion are good choices.) Treats include small portions of carrot or fruit, such as apple, berries, pear, grape, or banana.

Buttercup 1Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old. You are expected to make a lifetime commitment to your bunnies, and they should be treated as an integral part of the family. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your bunny and instructed on proper approach and handling. Household cats or dogs should, of course, also be carefully supervised at all times and introduced in a calm and quiet manner.

If you’re interested in meeting Buttercup (SAS ID #14-22738), contact the foster care hotline today at (206) 684-0685.
