Dog QA PoolIt may not be the dog days of summer, but the annual dog day at the Queen Anne Pool is just around the corner. Plan a Valentine’s Day to remember for your pup as canines get access to splash and swim in the pool prior to its annual cleaning and maintenance.

Seattle Parks and Recreation is opening the Queen Anne Pool to pups on Saturday, February 14th from 6pm to 7:30pm. The pool will then be closed from February 15th to March 2nd for the aforementioned pool care.

Public Health- Seattle & King County has approved the following guidelines:

  • The cost is $15 per dog; humans get in free.
  • Humans are not allowed in the pool with the dogs.
  • A lifeguard will be on duty.
  • Dogs must be at least 6 months old and have proof that they are licensed and up-to-date on vaccinations. Licenses can be purchased at the event.
  • Dogs must undergo a “pre-wash” on-site before they go into the pool.
  • Stairs are available for dogs to enter and leave the water.

The Queen Anne Pool is at 1920 First Ave. W. If you have any questions about the upcoming dog pool party, call 206-386-4282. Woof!
