Pet of the Week

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Tuesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Fabulous Feline Cat Adoption Event – January 24 at Uptown Mud Bay

Come meet many of the Shelter’s fabulous cats available for adoption (like Goldie below) at the Adoption Center inside Uptown Mud Bay on January 24, from noon to 3pm. This is a great opportunity to meet and interact with adoptable kitties that are waiting for their forever homes in foster care and not available for viewing at the Shelter.

Meet Goldie!

Goldie is a beautiful, loving cat with the poise of a 30’s film star wearing a satin evening gown. She keeps her fur spotless and can cover her eyes with her tail while napping.

Shy at first, she quickly warmed into the loving sweetheart she is today. She loves to sit on your lap while you read or use the computer, and share your bed. She enjoys watching the world through the window.

Life hasn’t always been so glamorous for Goldie. When she came to the shelter, her teeth were so infected they had to be removed.

She’s healthy now and won’t need additional dental care. She eats small kibble and canned food with gusto, and at 7 years, she’s just hitting middle age.

Goldie is waiting patiently for her forever family in a foster home; she is not at the Shelter. If you are ready to share your lap and listen to lots of purring, please call the Foster Care Hotline at (206) 684-0685 to arrange a meeting.
