Seattle Animal Shelter Pet of the Week: Taco

Pet of the Week

On Fridays we feature an adoptable pet from the Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS). SAS is located at 2061 15th Ave W, just north of Whole Foods, at the corner of W. Armory Way. SAS is open Tuesday – Sunday, noon-6pm.

Queen Anne View has not met any of these pets – SAS is providing us with the description, as they know them well. We encourage potential adopters to get in touch with SAS and work with them to evaluate the compatibility of your home and a new pet.

Pooky & Duke (fun pair of senior dogs) – available for adoption
Iggy Azalea (snuggly iguana) – available for adoption
Folson (charming tabby cat) – available for adoption
Mama (dedicated lap cat) – available for adoption
Pumpkin (orange tabby kitty) – available for adoption
Shadow (regal kitty) – available for adoption
Baldwin & Fiona (playful bunnies) – adopted!

Meet Taco!

Hello to all the dog lovers! Be aware of the cuteness overload! I’m a cuddly, funny companion with a forever cute puppy face. I’m a young, Chihuahua/Corgi mix guy and I know basic commands such as sit, stay, touch, look and shake. I’m good at making people laugh, being adorable and using my puppy eyes to melt your heart.

My favorite things to do are chilling at home with my foster family, putting my head on you and waiting for you to pet me, and making different sounds to entertain my people.

I’m crate trained and am perfectly fine on my own when you go to work. I can be shy when I see new people and animals, but I’m a smart guy and I just need some guidance to learn how to interact with others.

Kids can make me nervous sometimes, so a calm, quite home without kids will be ideal for me. If you want an affectionate companion, I would love to spend the rest of my life with you.

Taco (SAS ID #14-20527) is being adored in a foster home. If you would like to meet him, you must first submit a Dog Adoption Application to SAS. Download the application and follow the instructions for submitting via email or fax. Or you may pick up an application at the Shelter. If you have general questions about this dog, you may call the Shelter’s Animal Care Staff at (206) 386-4294.
