Chinoise closingA sign on the door of Chinoise Café confirms speculation that the restaurant is closing on December 31st. The pan-Asian café has been on Queen Anne for 18 years, and a little over a year ago it opened a second location in the Issaquah Highlands.

The Issaquah location will remain open as the Queen Anne location at 12 Boston St closes. But, fear not, the space will not remain vacant for long.

Chinoise storefrontA new sushi place, Ikiki Sushi, will be opening soon. Ikiki has already applied to take over Chinoise’s liquor license as of December 31st.

Chinoise’s statement on the sign (and on their web site) welcomes the new owner, Ping Wong, and Ikiiki Sushi.

No opening date yet, so stay tuned. Stop by and wish Thoa best wishes in her new endeavors and get ready to welcome Ikiiki to Queen Anne.
