New dance classes for kids and adults start in January at Queen Anne Community Center

The Queen Anne Community Center has a roster of dance classes for all ages. Kids can have fun learning new moves and adults can make good on New Year’s resolutions to get in shape as 2015 kicks off.

Metropolis DanceThe Metropolis Dance classes run from January to March, just in time for the New Year. The classes are $130 for the full 3 months. If you’re on the fence, you can sign up for the first class for free to try it out – just send an email at least 24 hours in advance:

Hip Pop 1 (ages 5-7 or K-2nd grade)
Tuesdays 4:30-4:15pm
Thursdays 4:15-5pm

Hip Pop 2 (ages 8-10 or 3rd-5th grade)
Thursdays 5:15-6pm

Pre-K Pop (ages 4-5)
Thursdays 2-2:30pm

Hip-Pop Middle School
Thursdays 2:45-3:45pm

Adult Hip-Pop (16 and up)
Wednesdays 12:30-1:30pm
Thursdays 6-7pm

Break Dance
Tuesdays 6-6:50pm (ages 6 and up)
Wednesdays 4:05-4:50pm (ages 4-6)

The classes teach students the fundamentals and begin each class with routine stretching, isolations, and warm ups, all to upbeat music.

A minimum of 5 students is needed for each class, so if you’re interested in a class for your kids or yourself, sign up online today. (search under “Performing Arts & Dance).
