Are you looking for a way to have an impact in the community? The Queen Anne Community Council currently has 3 open board positions, one 2-year position and two one-year positions. Current board members will vote on candidates for new board members in a special election at the December 3rd QACC meeting.

All Queen Anne residents, as well as owners or employees of Queen Anne businesses, are welcome to submit their candidacy for a board member position.

What’s required of a QACC board member? You must attend the monthly 2-hour board meeting held the first Wednesday of the month. Board members must also attend one committee meeting a month – committees include Transportation, Parks, and Land Use Review, and Emergency Preparedness/Public Safety.  Monthly committee  meetings last about 1-2 hours.

If you’d like to run for a position on the QACC board, all you need to do is contact Ellen Monrad via email with a 50-word or less statement about why you’d like to be considered.

The December 3rd meeting takes place at Queen Anne Manor, located at 1st N and Crockett, at 7:30pm. Even if you’re not running for a position on the QACC board, you can still attend the meeting to stay in tune with information that impacts Queen Anne.
