Back in 2012 we featured a Holiday Sample Sale on Queen Anne hosted by a group of product designers. It was a bit hit, and we had readers asking about it last year, but, alas, there was no 2013 sale.
Well, it’s back this year and the sale starts tomorrow (Friday) and runs through the weekend. If you’re looking for holiday decorations and want to help out a good cause, plan to head to this popular sale.
What can you find at the sale? A wide variety of holiday decorations and ornaments. Product designers collect a variety of product samples throughout the year, many of them brand-new and perfect for holiday décor – lighted yard characters, ornaments, nativities, Santas, elves, snowmen, angels, candle holders, reindeer, wreaths, and more. If it’s Christmas-y, they probably have it!
The proceeds from this year’s Sample Sale will go to the Global Visions Fund to help build an orphanage in Tanzania. The new orphanage will house children who are currently living in very poor conditions.
Here are the days/times for this year’s sale – note, they will be replenishing the stock daily.
- Friday, Nov 21, 8:30am to 3:30pm
- Saturday, Nov 22, 9am to 3pm
- Sunday, Nov 23, 10am to 1pm
The sale will be held at 1114 8th Ave West. The house is most easily accessible via 10th Ave West or West Olympic Place, the house is on the uphill side of the street. Please do not park in the driveway.
