Since Grub is closed on Mondays, owner Sharon Fillingim often turns over her kitchen to up-and-coming restaurants. This Monday, November 17th, Filipino pop up Lahi returns to Grub’s spot at 7 Boston St with a new 5-course menu.

If you’re unfamiliar with Lahi, they’ve been at Grub before and this past August they traveled to San Francisco for Savor Filipino, where Filipino chefs from all over the country converged to showcase their cuisine. Lahi was the only restaurant from the Pacific Northwest to attend the event.

Lahi owner Irbille Donia is planning 6 months of pop ups in anticipation of opening a restaurant in September of next year. Donia’s goal is a “modern reinterpretation of Filipino flavors with Northwest ingredients elevated by the care for those ingredients” – you can check out their planned menu below:

The Lahi pop up runs from 5pm to 10pm on Monday at Grub with a 5-course meal at $45. You can make reservations via Lahi’s Facebook page.
