We first posted about the old Emmer & Rye building becoming a new family Mexican restaurant back in May.
There’s been a lot of work done to the building’s exterior – paint, building décor, and a giant rooster in the courtyard. Now, there’s a sign for Nana’s, a family Mexican restaurant.
According to a Craigslist posting for jobs (they’re hiring from front of house to kitchen), the restaurant hit a few delays and is now set to open August 6th.
The previous May listing for open positions described the restaurant as “traditional Mexican food with accents of American fare. We will be working with family handed down recipes and new food concepts.”
The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday, 11am-9pm with breakfast service on the weekends. Assuming no more unexpected delays, we’ll be able to welcome a new restaurant to the long-vacant Emmer & Rye building at 1825 Queen Anne Ave N next month.
