The Seattle Parks and Recreation Department has opened up registration for summer swim teams, and one is conveniently located at our own Queen Anne Pool.

Summer Swim League

The Summer Swim League Queen Anne is for kids and teens ages 7 to 18 years old. Swimmers must be able to swim in deep water for at least 25 yards (one pool length. There are up to five 1-hour workouts each week, as well as two dual meets and two championship meets.

According to Seattle Parks: “This is a novice league appropriate for kids of all ages, including those who are just being introduced to swimming, all the way up to high school students who swim for their school teams.”

The program costs $130 and includes a team t-shirt. There is also a low-income option ($65) available for those who qualify.

The program begins on Monday, June 23, and ends with the All-City Swim Meet on Saturday, Aug. 2. To register, go to the program search page, choose “advanced search” from the bottom of the left menu, and enter “swim” as the search word – choose “Summer Swim League” and it’ll bring up the list of teams across Seattle, including Queen Anne Pool.

Registration closes on June 23 or when the program fills up. As of today, the Queen Anne Pool registration has 60 slots available.
