Stamp Out Hunger via your mail carrier is tomorrow, Saturday, May 10

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 10, is Stamp Out Hunger, a food drive that is the largest in both Seattle and the country. USPS mail carriers will be collecting food in plastic bags that were distributed earlier this week.

We’ve heard from Food Lifeline that some of the blue bags left in mailboxes on Queen Anne have last year’s date, which is good for reuse of already-available bags, but bad for confusion over the date.

The organization contacted us and asked for a clarification to customers about the date. If you’re participating in the food drive, do so tomorrow (not May 11, 2013). Leave food out for mail carriers, and Food Lifeline will take care of getting to those in need.
