This morning, Summer felt ages away as I walked my dog in the kind of drizzle that soaks you from head to toe and seems to slant sideways from every direction. But, it’s Spring, and that means sunbreaks and looking forward to Summer – and the Queen Anne Farmers Market!

QAFM logoThe 2014 dates for QAFM are set: the market will be open from 3pm-7:30pm every Thursday, from June 5 through October 16. It’ll be at its usual spot, at Crockett St and Queen Anne Ave N, and will feature over 50 Washington farms, artisan food and street food vendors, live music, and cooking demonstrations.

QAFM’s goal for 2014 is “to continue building a dynamic community hub for our neighbors and greater Seattle.” Last year, Seattle Weekly named QAFM the best farmers market in Seattle – let’s all help that happen for 2014!

More info will follow in the coming weeks as the QAFM team works behind the scenes to get this season up and running. A new poster will be unveiled soon, as well as a 2014 QAFM Rose produced by Canlis (proceeds benefit QAFM, and last year’s Rose was tasty!) – stay tuned and think Summer!
