Both Queen Anne Safeway stores are hosting Queen Anne Food Bank (QAFB) drop-off bins this month. You can stop by or drop off non-perishable food items when you shop at Safeway, and help out the QAFB.
Although it’s a bit late notice (I’ve been under the weather), the Upper Queen Anne Safeway QAFB bins will be available through tomorrow, Sunday, March 23rd. You have today and tomorrow to help fill the QAFB bin on Upper Queen Anne.
The Lower Queen Anne/Uptown Safeway will have QAFB bins this Thursday, March 27th through Sunday, March 30th.
The QAFB hopes to collect between 500 and 800 pounds of non-perishable food during the two drives. If you’re not sure what to donate, QAFB’ high-need items include pasta sauce, peanut butter, canned tuna, and cereal. Bins will be located near the entrances to Safeway.
