like the Tardis, it’s bigger on the inside

Per an article in Seattle Met, it looks like the Cotton Caboodle site at 203 W Thomas St will be transformed into a Melrose Market-like collection of eateries and shops.

The Seattle Met article says that Scott Shapiro, a co-developer of Capitol Hill’s Melrose Market, has plans for the unassuming site – which is bigger on the inside than it appears from the street.

Shapiro is planning a 6,700 square foot space that’ll house local restaurants and retailers. No word yet on tenants, but Seattle Met says Shapiro envisions 9 spaces with a “killer deck” and a signature anchor restaurant.

Timing? According to Seattle Met, “Shapiro says the permits and financing are in place, so they will open in the latter half of 2014.”

We’ve reached out to the developers, and will post info when we get it. Until then, get ready, this spot could become quite the destination!
