It’s still summery, so Rose wines really fit the bill for an afternoon or evening outside or with light summer veggie fare from the Queen Anne Farmers Market. What a better way to indulge and help out our QAFM than to try a new Rose created by Canlis that benefits QAFM?

QAFM RoseThe new label was created by Canlis specifically to benefit our independent, non-profit market. Canlis’ wine program recently won its seventeenth consecutive Wine Spectator Grand Award, placing it in the top 50 wine lists of the world. Canlis Sommelier, Nelson Daquip, selected this Rose for its tradition as a celebratory summer wine.

According to Maria College, co-founder and Director of QAFM:

“We cannot adequately express our gratitude to the Canlis Family and to Canlis Sommelier, Nelson Daquip, for their continued support and generosity. Every week we celebrate Washington’s agricultural abundance and we are thrilled that we can also showcase our state’s proud tradition as the second largest wine-producing region in the country.”

The new Rose is available for purchase at local wine merchant McCarthy & Shiering, at the corner of McGraw and Queen Anne Ave N. The wine shop is offering it at a reasonable price point of $13.99 per bottle. Stop by today to pick up a bottle and enjoy the last weeks of summer!
