Car prowlers take Ultimate Frisbee gear

Crime

Last night, a reader’s car was broken into at 2nd Ave N and McGraw Place/McGraw St. While we get a lot of car prowl reports from readers (these prowlers strike all too often), this one is likely to result in discarded Ultimate Frisbee items.

This prowl was a bit different in that the items takes were Ultimate Frisbee team items. The victim plays for the Seattle Riot, and the bags the prowler(s) stole contained shorts, discs, tank tops, and jerseys that the team sells.

Since they are unlikely to be able to sell these items, if you happen to see them discarded in the vicinity of the break-in, or in a park or other spot, please contact Alyssa via email at a.weatherford@gmail.com

To help prevent car prowls, check out SPD’s prevention tips here. Report all crimes and suspicious activity to SPD by calling 911 or the non-emergency number (206.625.5011). If someone breaks into your car, but doesn’t take anything, still report it – this is how SPD builds their database of crime statistics. Car prowls can also be reported online.
