The QAFM is today from 3-7:30pm, and it’s a great time to stock up on fruits and veggies before the market takes a break next week. As a general rule, the QAFM is open every Thursday through October 31th, but this year, the 4th of July lands on a Thursday. The QAFM took a poll of vendors and decided to take a break for the holiday.
And, a quick heads up that the July 11th QAFM will also include a tent to collect new and gently used kitchen and household items for the International Rescue Committee, helping refugee families. So, take some time to collect blankets, sheets, shower curtains, towels, and small electronics such as DVD players, radios, and George Foreman grills for the cause. (note: no clothing or large items such as furniture).
So, plan ahead and get shopping today, and clean out your closets, attics, and basements for the July 11th donation event. Then, enjoy the 4th with friends, family, and fireworks!
