According to SPD, Seattle Parks Department employees found remains identified as human bones on the wooded slope above Aurora Ave N at 11:40am Thursday morning. The Parks employees were clearing blackberry vines on the hillside near the 600 block of Galer St when they discovered bones in what appeared to be an old campsite.
SPD homicide and CSI detectives responded to the 911 call; King County Medical Examiner also reported to the scene. Per the SPD blotter, a preliminary investigation indicates that the remains had been on the hillside “for a significant period of time”.
