Tuesday, April 9th is Library Snapshot Day, a day to share photos of libraries to highlight their value and importance to the community. The Seattle Public Library (SPL) Snapshot Day will be done exclusively via Twitter this year, and everyone can participate.

QALibraryOur local Queen Anne branch has some really beautiful architectural elements, but you don’t have to limit yourself to the building itself. SPL invites library visitors to submit their photograph of events, displays, or anything else that catches their eyes at any SPL location on Tuesday, April 9th to celebrate Library Snapshot Day.

The photographs will make up a “day in the life of your library” – an effort led by the Washington Library Association to raise awareness about the value of libraries.

SPL will tweet selected photos from its Twitter account – just tweet your photos with the hashtag #splsnapshotday to @SPLbuzz, and SPL will do the rest!
