What’s in the Forum? Car Prowls and More

Local News, Queen Anne View

There are several new Forum topics that range from announcements to fundraising to car prowls. On that latter point, we’ll be compiling some key stats on recent car prowls in an upcoming post – they’ve been picking up and were a top issue at the Queen Anne community meeting with SPD. But, in the meantime, if you’ve been the victim of a car prowl or theft, let us know via email or the Forum

Here are the latest posts that you may have missed:

Car Prowls – car prowls this week include one at Galer and 1st W and another at 9th W and W Bothwell – and that’s just the ones that have been posted. There have been more, and we’ll be posting soon, after the January SPD stats are in.

Lomography Show – Caffe Vita is hosting a show of lomography by J. Wolf. His show runs from February 1-28, and includes works from his Ghosts of Seattle.

Fundraiser for Acupuncturists Without Borders – A local Queen Anne acupuncturist is raising funds for a volunteer trip to Nepal with the non-profit organization Acupuncturists Without Borders.

Free Tax Prep – We highlighted this earlier this month, but since the FREE tax prep begins next Wednesday, February 6th, it’s worth highlighting again. AARP’s TaxAide will be at the Queen Anne Library every Wednesday from February 6th through April 10th. They’ve also added two Saturday sessions.

And more! Including a babysitter with references, a couple seeking a Queen Anne rental, and a local CSA produce drop site. Visit the Forum for more on these posts – it’s for you!
