Two venues for watching Tuesday’s Presidential Debate have hit our radar – and as always, feel free to send us a tip if you know of another restaurant, bar, or public venue for upcoming debates!

5 Spot & broVo Spirits “Vote with your Liver”
First up, on Upper Queen Anne, the 5 Spot continues its “Vote With Your Liver” campaign in partnership with broVo Sprits. The 5 Spot will have the debate on the big-screen and your first vote is cast when you enter, so carefully choose the blue or red door upon arrival! Then let your liver vote with blue or red cocktails:

Blue: Let Me Be Clear Martini
Blue: Joe’s Scranton Manhattan
Red: Bain Baubles & Bubbles
Red: Private Sector Sunrise

Next50 One Stop Ballot Shop at the Seattle Center Armory
At the bottom of the hill there’s the Next50 One Stop Ballot Shop at the Seattle Center Armory, a debate-watch party and candidate mingle featuring back-to-back Presidential and Gubernatorial debates on the big-screen. Armory vendors will be open and a beer/wine garden will keep spirits lively. (no charge for entry, but pre-registration is required)

Many local candidates and representatives will be in attendance, giving you a chance to ask questions before you cast your vote. Confirmed to-date are:

– Bob Hasegawa, candidate for State Senate, 11th District
– Reuven Carlyle, candidate for State Representative, 36th District
– Noel Frame, candidate for State Representative, 36th District
– Ron Bemis, candidate for US Congress, 7th Congressional District
– Steve Strachan, candidate for King County Sheriff
– John Urquhart, candidate for King County Sheriff
– Representatives for both sides of the following initiatives: I-1240 Charter Schools, I-502 Marijuana Legalization, R-74 Marriage Equality

Note: the debates start at 6pm, the 5 Spot opens at 5pm, and the Armory opens at 5:30pm.
