Daily news blog for Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood

What’s in the Forum This Week?

September 28th, 2012 by Laura

Our Forum continues to see more posts, but we’d like to gently remind readers that the Forum is for you, so check out these recent posts and updates – and feel free to post your own question, announcements, events, and for-sale items:

  • A resolution to the strange noises heard at 10th Ave W and Howe – other neighbors heard it too, and the original poster contacted SPD via the non-emergency number (206-625-5011). If you live near the intersection and hear the noise, please do the same so SPD can follow up.
  • The Queen Anne Food Bank needs volunteers! Volunteers are needed to make sandwiches for the sack lunch program on Tuesdays from 7-8:30am and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30am. They also need help on Thursdays at the food bank from 2-4pm. Check out the post for contact details or to ask questions!
  • A local Queen Anne beekeeper is looking for volunteers to host beehives – check out the post to see the short list of requirements for hosting a hive (unfortunately, my yard is too shady and too small!), and to contact the beekeeper or ask questions!
  • And, finally, there are quite a few items for sale too!

Keep the posts coming, and, as always, we’ll keep fighting the good fight against spam!
