Queen Anne Books Monthly Book Club Meets this Week

September 8th, 2012 by Laura

Did you know that our locally-owned bookstore has a monthly book club? Queen Anne Books hosts monthly book club meetings on the second Monday and Wednesday of each month, so the next one is right around the corner. If you’ve read or are reading “A Good Hard Look” by Ann Napolitano, you’re set for Monday’s meeting.

Queen Anne Books welcomes all to the “drop-in, no guilt book club” – no reservations or sign-up is necessary, and the current book club selection is 15% off, either through Queen Anne Books web site or in the store.

What happens at the meetings? A 50 minute discussion on the current selection followed by a group vote that ranks based on 3 criteria: how well the group liked the book, how well written the book was, and if the group would recommend it to another book club. The club then votes on what to read next.

Key Details:
When: 7pm on Monday, Sept 10 and Wednesday, Sept 12
Where: Queen Anne Books, 1811 Queen Anne Ave North
What: “A Good Hard Look” by Ann Napolitano

If Napolitano’s book isn’t in your current rotation, but you’re interested in Queen Anne Book’s monthly club, next up on the list is “The Absolutist” by John Boyne. The October book club will meet Monday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 10.
