Lower Queen Anne liquor store closing May 29th

May 24th, 2012 by Cory Bergman

The first day of private liquor sales begins on June 1st, and that means the last of the state-run stores are closing. In Lower Queen Anne/Uptown, the store on 1st Ave. N. is closing May 29th.

It will be open on Memorial Day, and it’s selling the last bottles at discount prices. We saw quite a few bottles still on the shelves.

The store sold in an auction in April for $250,100, and we’ve filed a public records request with the Liquor Control Board to learn who purchased the location. The Interbay store on 15th Ave. will close on May 31st.
