Clean up Queen Anne with support from Seattle

Spring is here and that means it’s time for Spring Clean— the City of Seattle’s two-month community cleanup event. Now in its 23rd year, this event has enjoyed enormous success in keeping streets tidy and beautifying neighborhoods.

Seattle Public Utilities invites neighbors to participate by picking up litter, stenciling storm drains to protect salmon, painting over graffiti, removing invasive plants, or joining any of the planned community events. All events are held to benefit public property, and the City will assist in coming and hauling away all trash collected. No group is too small to assist– if you’d like to grab a bag and help out, maybe ask a new neighbor to join in.

The city will assist by offering litter cleanup bags, gloves, safety vests, and waste disposal permits free of charge. The program is a partnership of volunteers and Seattle Public Utilities, the Department of Neighborhoods, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Seattle Department of Transportation.
