Thanks to all the merchants who paid cold hard cash to have QA Ave. lit up and make it festive…Please remember to shop local and support the merchants that make the neighborhood such a great place to live.

Guys, relax. I had a single mom who did all this after my dad suddenly passed away, yet I am not offended by this. Such predictable Seattleites. If you think of Clark Griswold from Christmas Vacation you will forget to be offended and remember to laugh. I think those are the dads we’re talking about here.

The lights are festive and fun in my yard too. I’m a single mom, homeowner, and yes, I put the Christmas lights out there myself. OK, I wasn’t willing to get on a ladder to put the lights on my roof line, but my yard lights are awesome.

Fortunately my dear Jewish husband puts up with all of the fluffery around a Christian consumer driven holiday. Seriously, next year I’ll be on the beach in Hawaii!
