Odds are that when she was child, Sarah Kaufmann didn’t think she’d one day become a famous cheese carver. And yet, here she is, a world-renowned professional cheese carver and she’s coming to the Metropolitan Market Uptown at 100 Mercer St., from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22.
Kaufmann will sculpt cheese into art all day and anyone can check it out. Fittingly from Wisconsin, Kaufmann has toured the country carving cityscapes, cows and has even carved the Space Needle.
