More than a dozen people got mixed up in a brawl outside Dick’s on Lower Queen Anne. It happened around 2am last Tuesday (8/31). When officers arrived, one person was on the ground unconscious. Witnesses say it all began with a verbal altercation inside the restaurant involving two different groups. Once everyone got outside, punches started flying. A third group then got involved. By the time it was over, the two primary suspects had to be taken to the hospital. You can read the full police report below.

On 08/31/2010 at approx 0200 hours officers responded to the
restaurant located at 5 Queen Anne Av N for a large fight
disturbance. Several calls reported a large group of 12-20 people involved
in a physical fight. Officers arrived in the parking lot of the restaurant
and people immediately began to disperse. Officers were able to detain the
subjects outside of the restaurant. Officers also located one male lying
unconscious on the ground. The male, later identified as S/ , was
treated at the scene by Seattle Fire prior to being transported to the
hospital for further treatment.
Officers investigated the disturbance. According to several witnesses the
disturbance began inside of the restaurant. S/ , S/ and a few
others in their group began a verbal altercation with another group of
people who had just come in to the restaurant. The second group, which
included V/ and W/ , exited the restaurant in an attempt to get
away from S/ and S/ . The suspects followed them into the
parking lot and then to Queen Anne Av N. S/ approached V/ and
punched him in the face, causing his nose to bleed. At this point a third
group from the restaurant observed the disturbance and intervened. The
suspects and their friends began yelling at members of the third group.
S/ punched V/ . W/ grabbed S/ and pushed him away
to keep him from continuing the assault. During this struggle S/
fell backwards, striking his head on the pavement of the parking lot. This
caused S/ to lose consciousness. Sometime during the altercation
S/ sustained an injury to his arm.
W/ positively identified both suspects as the primary
aggressors who attacked the two victims. S/ and S/ were
transported to HMC for further treatment of their injuries. V/ was
treated at the scene by Seattle Fire. V/ declined medical aid. All
other subjects were released at the scene. Sgt Kraus responded to the scene
to screen the incident.
