Pacific NW Yo-Yo Championships at Seattle Center

Get your yo-yos ready! The Pacific Northwest Yo-Yo Championships are coming to Seattle Center’s Center House this Saturday, February 20. The all day event kicks off with registration at 10 a.m., then a number of preliminaries and finals, before awards are handed out at 5 p.m. (Schedule here). Contestants can enter in two divisions – sport or championship – with specific rules for freestyling and tricks. Yo-yo champions will be performing two-minute routines synchronized to music! (I don’t know about you, but I had no idea yo-yoing was such a competitive sport!)
Have mad yo-yo skills? Enter yourself, or just drop by to catch a bit of the action. There will also be a pre-championship meet-up on Friday, February 19 at 6 p.m. at the Center House for those looking to get a glimpse of the competition, and a post-games after party at the Frontier Room, located at 2203 1st Ave immediately after the award ceremony on Saturday.
Check out the event sponsors here. May the best yo-yo champion win!
