  Didn't see it yesterday (28th), but because of the re-post lag, you could be talking about the one two nights ago? There was a plane, very low, large jet that was being escorted into SeaTac by a fighter jet after the bomb threat from that guy in Detroit (?).

  I did notice a plane from up on First Hill but it was going towards downtown and looked like it might have flown over the Queen Anne area. Did it look like a non-commerical airliner?

  if the flghter plane was white with red stripes – its likely it was a 787 test flight and chase plane. Remember this is Boeing country. And that is a really really big plane, so it looks low when it really is where it belongs. The flight path into Boeing Field is across Interbay as a rule when approaching from the north.

  Yes, I am in the mt baker neighborhood and it flew over my office 8 times at a really low level. I emailed all the local news affiliates and no one has responded or even acknowledged it. Our office admin assistant called boeing and they said they had no reports and had no idea which is a total lie because the plane was circling boeing field. It was an 4 engine air force jet like an awax but with no dome on top. I think it is really strange that no one has picked up this story especially considering it was flying extremely low and circling downtown Seattle. What is the big secret? Why will nobody talk about this? Usually they put out a press release saying we will be doing a test blah blah blah…

  I saw what I believe to have been the Dreamliner from my office in Ballard that looks SW. I saw it fly over Magnolia and then turn over Interbay, pretty much the usual flight pattern for Boeing Field. I think it was the Dreamliner because there was a small plane behind it that was flying closer than I've ever seen a plane follow another. So I think that was the chase plane. The time was about 4:20, which is close enough to match the time that Boeing says yesterday's test flight ended. Yesterday being 12/28/09. The plane did seem pretty low.

  Nope, it wasn't the Dreamliner. I work down in SODO under the landing path for all planes going in to Boeing Field and we watched the plane for almost an hour. It was a Navy plane painted all white with 4 engines. It circled around over Seattle several times, banking pretty hard over our building at a low altitude. About an hour later a smaller twin-engine private jet without any markings made a similar flight and later landed at Boeing. Still no idea what they were doing though!
