November 24th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Today, Tuesday, November 24, SDOT will be making emergency repairs to an expansion joint on the southbound section of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, just past the First Ave. S exit.  This repair work will shut down the southbound lanes at various times today. From 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the left and center lanes south of the First Ave. off-ramp will be closed, and from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. the center and right lanes will be closed at the same location. Drivers are advised to proceed cautiously through the work zone, and expect slower travel times.

Hey, I'll put up with a bit of construction if it'll keep the thing from falling down for another week or two.
