If you’re going to be traveling outside the neighborhood this weekend, keep the following lane closures/congestion warnings in mind. The Seattle Department of Transportation is closing down part of the Alaskan Way Viaduct this weekend for its semi-annual maintenance inspection on Saturday, October 24 from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (it will reopen early for the Seattle Sounders game, which begins at 7:30 p.m.), and on Sunday, October 25 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The closure will span from Spokane St. to the north end of the Battery St. Tunnel. The lanes just north of the Battery Street Tunnel on Aurora/99 will also be closed for repairs on Saturday, October 24 from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
