On the Boards, the Uptown non-profit contemporary theater company with the mantra “Don’t trust anyone under 30,” is having a badminton tournament in the empty lot across from their Roy Street location (at the corner of Roy St & 1st Ave W) right now!

According to OtB operations director Tanya, the party is to kick off the theater company’s new season (calendar here). Anyone can join, though it’s a 21 and over event (with $1 beer) and at around 8-ish everyone will be moving into the theater for the finals center stage.

There are several food vendors there and the tournament is taking up the whole lot. Go, play badminton, and prosper!
